In short, the league is now contracting, something I predicted a few weeks ago. Part of me is saddened as I enjoyed the league expanding due to so much interest. However, my original plans for this season were for only 32 players. That changed to 40 then to 48 then to 64 with the creation of the European Region. Finally, the number hit a ceiling of 72 members for most of the season. I now welcome the smaller, more committed league. The top 5 weeks we had the highest completions took place in the first half of the season (weeks 2, 3, 11, 5, & 6). The bottom 5 weeks for worst completion rates include the last 3 weeks (weeks 15, 10, 9, 16, & 17).
Apologies to all the members that continue to play their matches, win or lose. Thank you for your committment to the SFCCL. It is your committment that makes this league a success. I understand we all get busy with things in our real lives. However, consistently not playing points to something else. I owe it to you and the integrity of league to continue to remove the members that do not play their matches every week. They bring down the fun for everyone else, and waste all of our time. If it were up to me, I would dump even more members that I continually have problems with. However, I will will abide by the rules of the league as those members will eventually be removed from the league by their own doing. During the closing of the week last nite, I did differ in one thing. I did not send out the results to EVERY match like I usually do. If a fighter won by default, I was sure to let them know. With so many forfeits and double forfeits, I decided not to waste any more of my time than necessary with those matches. If the members involved care about their outcome, they can look them up themselves with the weekly update. I know some of you guys get tired of tring to contact your opponents without them ever replying back. Just imagine how tired I am of getting those messages.
The SFCCL is 66 members (132 fighters) strong going into Week 18 with members in 11 different countries. The C Division and Green Divisions have been contracted by 4 and 8 spots, respectively.

All members were invited to join the active roster from the Waiting List. Welcome to the SFCCL!
The following 'Auto-Promotions' occurred as a result of the former members and change of fighter (note - depending on where the vacant spot is in the division, not all fighters take advantage of the auto-promotions):
GOLD Division: 1 spot
SILVER Division: 5 spots
BRONZE Division: 6 spots
A Division: 7 spots
B Division: 14 spots
C Division: 20 new fighters (division contracted by 4 spots)
RED Division: 4 spots
BLUE Division: 9 spots
GREEN Division: 2 new figthers (division contracted by 8 spots)
Any fighter that did not play their matches do not benefit from these Auto-Promotions, and could see other fighters jump them in the rankings. It pays to play.
Members changing fighters and Division change:
HerkulesHulk SAGAT to GUILE (Blue to Green Division)
Any member in the league can change their fighter, but it will result in a penalty of the new fighter dropping one division and starting at the #15 ranking.
THE WAITING LISTS
Both region's Waiting List are now clear. This section will be removed from future blogs. A couple of players on the previous Waiting List never replied to my emails nor PSN messages, and therefore, were not added to the league.
