Well, after forfeiting 4 members' schedules and dropping/adding two members earlier this week, the league should start seeing some major action. As you can see below, there was a flurry of matches played which is a nice surprise since the match results had decreased over the past couple of weeks.
Thru 15 weeks, all members should have at least 46 matches played thus far (23 matches per fighter). This is just an average based on the number of weeks complete this season, but also a way to compare your progress this season. Six members have 23 matches or more completed so far.
See below for the latest news and results around the league. There is a new leader atop the A Division. Don't forget the 4th event of the season is coming up in two weeks - 2vs2 Tournament.
Read on!
1. MATCH RESULTS (Week 15)
2. DIVISION STANDINGS (Week 15)
Jay's main fighter, Vega, still holds the top spot in the B Division for the fifth straight week. Number of wins to reach the Gold rankings is now 13 wins as well. New members XERO and TEAMEMPORERD will be challenged to get those 13 wins in the remaining 9 weeks.
An interesting piece of information. If you look at the top 8 rankings in both divisions, 7 members have their two fighters in the top 8 spots in both divisions (Hursh191, Cubanile_WL, Jay19000, DrPepper20, RammaCricket, Killa_Kitana_, & Mijoeight). The final remaining spot is occupied by two other members with their main fighters. TeamEmporerA's Balrog has the #3 spot in the A Division, while Skrface_13 Blanka holds the #6 spot in the B Division.
3. CHANGE OF FIGHTERS / NAMES (Week 14)
1. DarkM92 Sagat to Juri (A Division)
4. NEW MEMBERS FOR WEEK 15 (added September 10th, 2012)
1. XeroDgX (Domican Repubic)
2. TeamEmporerD (California)
5. NEXT LIVE TOURNAMENT: 2vs2 TOURNAMENT VI
WHEN: Saturday, September 29th @ 10 AM Central Online (11 AM Eastern / 8 AM Pacific)
DETAILS: 2vs2 Team Battle mode double elimination tournament (best of 3 rounds)
Particpiating members will be grouped together for form 2-member teams. Teams must win 2 out of 3 sets to advance to the next round (winners or losers bracket). Winning members will receive additional win for both fighters in division standings.
Teams of 2 can be assembled in advance in case two members want to play together (cough...Jay & Cubanile...cough). However, everyone is invited to play. Any members without a team in advance will be randomly paired up prior to the event. With the event being double-elimination, be prepared for a long event. All matches will be 3 rounds max.
We will use the SF4 team battle mode online for the event. A Text Chat room will be opened for the event on the PSN, but I do advise all members to 'leave' the room when you begin playing as the Chat room does cause lag in matches.
6. WEBSITE CHANGES
All matches, schedules, and division standings are updated.
Until next time...good luck.
