Actually, more like the end of the 17th Week. Only 7 more weeks to play regular season matches before we begin the SUPER BRAWL IV tournaments. Below are the latest standings, match results, member changes, and link to the new 2vs2 TOURNAMENT VI page. I am going with a new layout this week to the weekly Roundup since the previous format had too elements when building it. I'll keep most of my words up here and leave the graphics below.
This has been a very slow week for matches played. Only 4 matches have been played this past week. So far this season, we have played 634 matches of the 1,406 scheduled, or 45%. With 71% of the season complete, we are starting to fall behind again the average. Personally, I am encountering the problems described by some of the more active members - it is hard to play all of your matches. I have 10 members I need to play to complete my schedules. I sent each of them an email and PSN message in attempt to setup times to play these final 10 members. Only Skrface has replied. We have yet to play but at least we are communicating to setup a time to play. (We'll get it done, SKRFACE!)
For the second week in a row, Cubanile_WL's fighters are atop the division standings. Currently, a fighter will need at least 13 wins in either division to qualify for the Gold tournament in SUPER BRAWL IV. Of course, tie-breakers come into play when deciding between mutiple figthers with the same number of wins. The first tie-breaker is winning percentage, so a fighter with .684 winning percentage will get ranked higher than a figher with a .481 winning percentage. If both fighters have played the same number of matches and have the same winning percentage, then the next tie-breaker goes to the winner of the head-to-head matchup. If that doesn't apply, then the final tie breaker is alphabetical name order.
Final reminder that tomorrow is the 4th live event of the season, 2vs2 TOURNAMENT VI. All members are invited to play (with exception to previous live event winners this season). Please let me know if wish to team up with another member. Otherwise, teams of 2 will be assembled prior to the start of the event. Once you know your team, be sure to communicate with your partner about who fights first as strategy plays an important role. Members can use any character in the tournament, and are not restricted to their league fighters. All matches are to be 3 rounds, so please set up your lobbies correctly. All matchups will be best 2 out of 3, so your team must defeat the other team 2 times to advance. The tournament will be double elimination so be prepared for a long event depending if we have a lot of teams. If there is an odd number of members playing, I will play on my own team. We will be using the Team Battle mode online, which may prove to be difficult to record the final matchup. I may still host the lobby in order to record the final matchup but there is no time out in the Team Battle lobby like there is in the Endless Lobby. So, I may just choose Dan and let the other player quickly dipatch me to keep the match going between the actual participants. I wanted to record all the final matches of live events this season. This one is the most challenging.
Hopefully we have a good turnout tomorrow morning. Members are free to play their regular season matches during this time since these live events work as online gatherings of league members.
Until next week......good luck!
