The league currently has 36 members (72 fighters) with each fighter having 35 matches on their schedule. With 33% of the season complete, every member should have 22 matches complete (about 11 matches per fighter) in order to play all matches by the end of the season (Sunday, November 18, 2012).
Watch the standings carefully. Several members are climbing the standings in each division that may not be noticed since they have not played as many matches as the current leaders. If you read the weekly results carefully or the individual member schedules, you'll see some top matches. I hope to get more replays from other members so we can all watch these great matchups. Save your replays and I'll record them for everyone to enjoy. I've uploaded videos of all my matches so far.
On with weekly update!
1. WEEK 8 RESULTS
2. DIVISION STANDINGS - WEEK 8
The colored rankings on the left-hand side represent which tournament your fighter would advance to if the season ended today. The fighters not advancing to SUPER BRAWL IV would have their season end.
3. CHANGE OF FIGHTERS / NAMES
None
4. NEW MEMBERS FOR WEEK 9 (JULY 30th)
1. CALIBERCLARK (North Carolina)
With CALIBERCLARK be joining the SFCCL, the league will have 37 total members and 74 fighters. With his addition, every fighter will have 36 matches.
5. NEXT LIVE EVENT:
WAR GAMES IV
DATE: WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 1st
TIME: 9:00 PM CENTRAL TIME
LOCATION: SFCCL CLUBHOUSE / PSN TEXT CHAT
The event is designed for 8 participating members, but can be modified if more members play. Based on 8 members, all members enter the same Endless Battle lobby. The first member to win 7 matches wins the event. Simple. The wins do not have to be consecutive wins. The lobby keeps tracks of everyones wins in the Player Data screen so everyone can follow along. With 8 members in a lobby, every member has a chance to win or at least a shot to stop another member from winning. In the past, a member usually wins a few matches in a row, and then loses to another member who then goes on his own winning streak. The format allows everyone a shot at the eventual winner.
All matches will be 3-round matches. If more than 8 members want to play, two qualifying lobbies will be setup with members split evenly if possible. The first 8 members to win 5 matches advance to the Final Lobby of 8.
To participate in the event, members must be online at the time of the event listed above. I will then send out a PSN message to confirm if you want to play in the event. Instructions will then be issued via the PSN Text Chat room. The only member not allowed to play is DRPEPPER20, since he won the first live event (STARDUST).
Good luck!
6. WEBSITE CHANGES
The website will be fully updated today. Besides the traditional schedules and division standings, I will be updated the member Player and Battle Points later today.
EDIT - The Player and Battle Points screen has been updated as of July 27, 2012. In addition to the leaderboards for Player and Battle Points for members, I've created two new rankings to summarize the Battle Points. One lists all the members listed in the Battle Points leaderboards ranked by number of appearances in the leaderboards. The other lists ranks the members by the total number of Battle Points earned in the leaderboards. Interesting stuff! Check it out below.
Until next time......good luck!
