The deadline for all members to check-in has passed, which ended up being one day longer. My PSN message to the members still alive in the SUPER BRAWL III tournament actually listed Monday, January 2nd, as the last day to let me know if they were still interested in playing in the tournament. In the end, 8 of the final 14 members did contact me one way or another to let me know they wanted to keep playing. The other 6 members, including all 4 European Members, never responded to any of my PSN messages nor emails. Some members have been away a long time, while others logged online in the past two days. For whatever reason, they did not take the courtesy to let me know they wanted to keep playing. Therefore, it is only fair that I forfeited their matches. We only want members who want to play. Thanks for playing this season.
Since all 4 European members failed to respond, the entire European Region bracket is cancelled. Its a fitting end for a region that dies a long time ago. The only match played in the tournament in the past 4+ weeks was the two matches between CRAVIN and SUBES. In fact, those two matches were the only European league matches played in the past 3 months. Overall, the late expansion of the European Region was a bad decision. Fortunately, I don't need to spend anymore time on that.
With 2 members from the Americas Region failing to check-in, their matches were forfeited and the winners notified. With that, all 2nd Round matches are now complete. The deadline for 3rd round matches is Wednesday, January 11th. So please contact your opponents as soon as possible to play your matches. Otherwise, they will be forfeited.
(Personally, I finally met up with VON and lost a close match. My season is finally over. Video is available in the video section.)
With the cancellation of the European Region, the winner of the Americas Region will automatically win the duo title of SFCCL Super Brawl III champion and final 3rd season Grand Champion.
Good luck to all remaining members. The final 8 fighters are a combined (109 - 5), including 4 undefeated fighters. The end of the tournament will be great despite all these recent problems.
