Any unplayed matches may be forfeited by Monday unless other arrangements are made. For example, I received an email from SKRFACE_13, who live in New Jersey, about extending his time to play his 1st round matches. The reason: Hurricane Sandy. New Jersey was hardest hit by the super storm in late October and resulted in massive damage, power outages, and supply shortages. SKRFACE himself has not been online since that storm hit, 32 days ago. Obviously, it would not be fair to forfeit his matches due to circumstances beyond his control. (Interesting fact - Skrface, the winner of Super Brawl 1 and 3, did not play in Super Brawl II due to the infamous PlayStation Network hacking incident. Hopefully another freak event doesn't cost him a chance to win a record third Super Brawl tournament.)
I'd gladly extend the time to play as long as I know you are still committed to playing your matches. Below are the remaining 7 matches in the Octo Finals (1st Round):

PERSONAL NOTE - I've played my two Super Brawl matches in the Silver Bracket which were both against XeroDgX from the Dominican Republic. I won my Ken match and lost my Bison matches against XeroDgX during the regular season, so I had expectations to do as well in the Super Brawl tournament. Unfortunately, XeroDgX has gotten a lot better since our regular season matches, and I obviously got worse! I lost both matches badly. I don't want to take away anything from XeroDgX and his play last nite as his combos were fast, accurate, and well-timed. His play was much more complex this second time around and he was clearly the better fighter in both matches. However, I definitely made it easier for him in both matches as my play was just horrible. Below are the videos of both our matches. To make the viewing more enjoyable, feel free to take a 'shot' everytime I don't finish a combo, miss a Shoryuken, fail to block a cross-up attack, or each time I just stand still attempting to block a Focus Attack. I had been practicing the last couple of weeks to be sharp for the Silver tournament, in which I hoped to play well against other similar-skilled members. That never materialized and as a result my season is over!
In the end, my slow play proved one thing for me once and for all. I am, and always will be, a Street Fighter 2 player trying to play Street Fighter 4. The saying when Vanilla SF4 came out was that just because you were good in SF2 it did not mean you would be good in SF4. It took me 4 seasons to figure that out. I never could adapt the style of play to include juggles, Ultras, and Focus Attacks. All go against the idealogy of the gameplay in SF2. In addition, taking the time to learn how to battle all the new characters in SF4 was something I never took the time to do. I will gladly admit these additions to he gameplay make for a more exciting game, just not the game I grew up playing. A new game for a new generation. Even the original 12 to 16 characters have changed so much. Balrog and Blanka were two characters that were so easy to counter during the SF2 days. All their weaknesses have been removed in SF4, bascially creating brand new characters to study again. Those things proved to be my downfall. But after all that being said, I had a blast playing these past 4 seasons. For me personally, this marks my official retirement from competitive SF playing. The matches versus XeroDgX were tough losses and somehow reminded me of a song from a recent film, "The Wrestler". Enjoy my edited video below. The standard videos are now uploaded to the Video page.
As for the SFCCL and a possible 5th season, I would be willing to run another season, but I personally, will not play in it for the reasons above. My play going forward will be just for fun. If the interest and/or demand is there, season 5 is possible. I will leave that up to you guys...the members of the SFCCL.
As for the rest of this season, I am still committed to finishing the season, just now from an Admin position. I look forward to seeing each tournament complete. Good luck to all!
