SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
This update begins Week 20 of this season. As is traditional, inter-divisional matches occur every five weeks, and Week 20 is no different. The rotation this time is to have the Silver Division fighters defend their rankings from the Bronzer Division. The A Division will fight the smaller B Division, with the remaining A Division fighters matched up in regular matches. Due to the smaller league, the B Division is only has 12 fighters. For those new to the league, inter-divisional matches offer the opportunity for your fighter to jump into another division simply by winning your match this week. If you are already in the higher division, then your fighter is defending their ranking from the same ranked fighter in the lower division. The schedule changes each time out (Gold vs Silver or Silver vs Bronze). With the extension of Week 19, we may only have 24 weeks this season, so this week's inter-divisional matches may be the last time we play them this season. The season may also be cut shorter, but more on that later.
Week 19 is officially closed, and despite the addtional two weeks to play (28 days total), several matches did not get completed. Last week, I sent out an email and PSN message to all members who still had one or two of their matches unplayed. That message contained a warning that any member who did not play their 2 matches during Week 19 would be dropped from the league as it equates to 2 standard league weeks due to the extention. Normally, I hesitate to kick someone out of the league. However, in this case, if a member cannot (or does not) play their 2 matches over a 4-week timeframe nor do they communicate with anyone over that sime time period, then they obviously shouldn't be in the league. All it does is waste their opponent's time and my time. As the admin of this league, it is my responsibility to remove these types of members for everyone else. Therefore, several members were dropped due to this unique rule. Overall, 75% of the matches were completed last week, which made it the 14th best week of the season in terms of match completion.
Another recent blog mentioned the "unofficial" annoucement of Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition coming to consoles in the form of DownLoadable Content (DLC). There has been no official announcement yet by Capcom, so pricing and date details are unknown at this time. It is rumored to be coming in June of this year. If that is the case, our season will still be going on at that time, ever perhaps the season-ending SUPER BRAWL II tournament. Since we don't know exactly how or if the new DLC will interact with standard SSFIV, I am leary of having the season spill over into the DLC era. The changes will be subtle, however, having the DLC will create an unfair balance to the players with the new improvements. Therefore, it is very possible that this season will be cut ever shorter in anticipation of the DLC coming to the PS3. I hope to have the season completed prior to the DLC becoming available. However, until Capcom releases an official announcement, the season will continue as planned. When an announcement finally does come from Capcom, I will then make an announcement on the remaining part of the season. I've added the SSFIV:AE trailer to my blog down below (hopefully, this one at GT lasts a while).
The SFCCL is 50 members (100 fighters) strong going into Week 20 with members in 7 different countries.

Welcome to the SFCCL!
The following 'Auto-Promotions' occurred as a result of the departures:
GOLD Division: None
SILVER Division: 2 spots
BRONZE Division: 6 spots
A Division: 11 spots
B Division: 6 New Members (division only has 12 fighters)
RED Division: 3 spots
BLUE Division: 4 New Members (division only has 8 fighters)
Any fighter that did not play their matches do not benefit from these Auto-Promotions, and could see other fighters jump them in the rankings. Even if your fighter lost last week, he/she could have moved up in the rankings due to the openings left by the departing members. However, only fighters that completed their matches can benefit from the auto-promotions. It pays to play, win or lose.
Members changing fighters and Division change:
ModeType_Beast T. HAWK to SETH (A Division to B Division)
ModeType_Beast ABEL to BISON (A Division to B Division)
Wauhti MAKOTO to SAKURA (Red Division to Blue Division)
Any member in the league can change their fighter, but it will result in a penalty of the new fighter dropping one division and starting at the #15 ranking, unless of course, the division is closed which will result in the new fighter starting at the bottom of the next lower division.
THE WAITING LISTS
Only one player remains on the Waiting Lists (Apple25 from Kansas). To be added to the SFCCL, a player must accept my Friend Request on the PSN. If not, then they will be placed on the Waiting List until next week. If they have still not accepted the Request after a minimum of two weeks, their name will be removed.
Feel free to recomment the league to all of your online friends and rivals. The biggest complitment you can pay me or the league is to recommend it to others.
DEADLINE FOR WEEK 20
Deadline for Week 20 matches is Sunday, April 24th, 2011.
Good luck to all members this week!
