3rd Official SFCCL Event
The SURVIVOR SERIES Tournament
Wednesday, January 27th, 2010 @ 8 PM Eastern Time (7PM Central / 6PM Mountain / 5PM Pacific)
Please send a Friend Request to SFCCL_WILD_X if you wish to play in the Survivor Series Tournament.
League member, WILD_X_187, will be the Official Administrator for this Event.
1. The SURVIVOR SERIES tournament will have to be a LIVE EVENT. Meaning, all the fights will occur in one night. This is not an event that will be scheduled over a week or two. We will use the PSN Text Chat room online (and possibly the CHAT BOX here on the SFCCL site) to organize the LIVE event. The PSN CHAT BOX is easy to use and allows the Administrator to organize the event. Please don't chat too much as this slows the process down. Keep the friendly banter to PSN messages as this allows everyone to easily read instructions from the Administrator.
Sending a Friend Request to SFCCL_WILD_X does not guarantee you will be included in the SURVIVOR SERIES Tournament. All participating members must be ONLINE at 8pm Eastern on Wednesday, January 27th. SFCCL_WILD_X will then invite all online members at that time to the Text Chat to begin the Event.
2. Seeding will be random. WILD-X has instructions on how to seed the members. This process will give us the most random pairings. League members are free to use any characters to assemble their 4-fighter teams. Members are not required to use their normal League characters.
3. SFCCL Prizes awarded to the Top 3 members. Awards will be earned for the top 3 members at the end of the tournament. 1st place will be the winner of the tournament, 2nd place the loser of the final match, and the 3rd place winner will be the winner of the final 4 match (details below).
* 1st PLACE: Winner of the SURVIVOR SERIES tournament will earn the right to challenge ANYONE in the League with one of their ranked fighters. Winner takes the higher rank, loser of the match takes the lower rank.
--- Example: If the winner has their fighter in the A Division, he/she will earn the opportunity to challenge the GOLD Champion in Week 24. Winner takes the GOLD rankings, and the loser falls to the A Division.
** 2nd PLACE: Loser of the final match will earn ther right to challenge anyone in the next highest division. Winner takes the higher rank, loser of the match takes the lower rank.
--- Example: If the member has their fighter in the Bronze Division, he/she will earn the opportunity to challenge anyone in the Silver Division in Week 24. Winner of the match takes the higher ranking, while the loser falls to the lower ranking.
*** 3rd PLACE: Winner of the secondary Final 4 (last defeated members of the Final particpants) earn the right to challenge anyone in their own division. Winner takes the higher rank, loser of the match takes the lower rank.
--- Example: If the members has their fighter in Bronze Division, he/she will earn the opportunity to challenge anyone in the Bronze Champion, from the Champion to the #15th ranked fighter. Winner of the match takes the higher ranking, while the loser falls to the lower ranking.
4. This 4-fighter elimination-style tournament. The SURVIVOR SERIES is an event based on the old WWF (now WWE) pay-per-view event where teams of 4 wrestlers battled another team of 4 wrestlers in a elimination-style match. In terms of the SFCCL, each member has his/her own team of 4 different fighters. Below are the official rules:
This event is a single elimination tournament
- Each member has their own 4 fighter team
- Each member's team plays another member's 4 fighter team
- All matches are 3-round matches
- All 4 fighters from a member's team must be defeated to win the Survivor Series match
- All 4 fighters on a member's team must be different
(A team can consist of 3 Shoto characters as long as they are all different - no team made up of 4 Ryu fighters is allowed)
- Once a fighter is defeated, that fighter cannot be used again in the same match
- The winning team must continue to use the same fighter until that fighter is defeated (no changing fighters mid-match)
- Depending on the number of participants, byes are possible & some members may advance to the next round
- All members must be online at the time of the event to play in the SURVIVOR SERIES
- 1st place will be awarded to the winner of the tournament. 2nd place will be awarded to the runner-up. 3rd place will be the winner of the two defeated members of the Final participants
- Members are free to use any 4 fighters & do not have to use their League characters
Members can change their team of fighters from round to round
5. This SFCCL Special Event is NOT MANDATORY of all League members. Some League members may not be able to participate on Wednesday, January 27th. This event is open to SFCCL members only. However, all should understand that Week 24 matches may be very unique as a result of the winners taking their shots at other players. If the 'chosen' matches overlap with the same fighter, then they will be spread over a few weeks with 1st place going first, then 2nd place, and then 3rd place.
6. The final roster & bracket will be announced immediately before the event begins. Since this is a LIVE event, we cannot say how many players will show up for certain. Final results will be posted on this site.
Good luck to all particpants.
