With 708 matches completed this season, that hits the 50% for total matches scheduled this season. With 75% of the season over, that number still trails the average. The percentage complete did go up with forfeits by LEAHCIM-1V1S this past week. That makes a total of 5 members who have forfeited their seasons. I actually am neutral to this happening at this point in the season. I would prefer all remaining members play their schedules out, but if a member doesn't have time or simply doesn't care anymore, it is best to let me know so their matches can be forfeited. It saves everyone time. Personally, I still have 8 members to play to finish my schedules, however, only 1 has been in contact with me about trying to setup a time to play (we'll get it done, SKRFACE!). If the other 7 members are not longer interested in playing, it would be considerate if they let me know so I don't waste my time writing more emails and PSN messages. Simple.
Of course, if some members qualify for the SUPER BRAWL IV who are no longer playing, I'll gladly forfeit their tournament matches to keep the action going. Bottom line...I want to create a place for those who want to play. Simple.
In the coming weeks, I will reach out to all members to verify their status in the league.
Congrats once again to RAMMACRICKET and SKRFACE_13 (both from New Jersey) for winning the 4th live event of the season, the 2vs2 Tournament VI, this past Saturday. The brothers from Florida, CUBANILE_WL and JAY19000, put up a great fight and forced the event to a final, winner-take-all match from the losers bracket, but Ramma and Skrface prevailed in the end. Be sure to watch the video of the final set of matches for some awesome SF4 action! Each of their fighters received an additional win in the division standings.
The next and final event of the season is FALL BRAWL III. This event will take place on Sunday, October 28th at 3 PM Central. This event uses the Tournament Mode online. It's probably the most simple event. All participating members will play in several 3-round single elimination tournaments. The first member to win 3 tournaments wins the event. If more than 8 members particpate, qualifying lobbies will be setup to determine the finalists. I am considering opening up the event to all members, including past winners of previous events this season. This could generate a better turnout and should give everyone a chance to meet up with many other members online to play the regular matches. I'm open to debate this rule if anyone is interested.
Until next week......good luck!
