Finally, after 62 days, we have the final match set for Supre Brawl II. Cravin456's Ryu (England) defeated Fran_Gil's Balrog (Domincan Republic). This sets up a nice final match between the European Champion and the last man standing from the Americas Region, ModeType_Beast's T. HAWK (Louisana).
The final match is a best 3 out of 5 five-round match. Be sure to save/send the replays so I can record and post them on the site for everyone to see. Good luck, and let the best man win!
SEASON 3 UPDATE:
Well, as for the current season, we are off to a rocking start...well at least the Western Conference is. As of this blog, 40 matches have already been played in the first week of the season. Overall, that is only 19% of toal scheduled matches for the Western Conference (210 total). For the whole Americas Region, there are 420 matches schedules. However, the Eastern Conference in lagging behind by only playing 1 match so far. Yeah, just one. In the end, it doesn't matter much since we have another 17 weeks to play the regular season matches. I, personally, just played my first two matches, so don't worry if you haven't played yet.
My apologies for not updating the site until tonite as I had another family emergency this past week. It's been a crappy first half of the year. Here's hoping the second half of the year improves.
My suspiscions were correct about the level of interest for this season. Only 2 players did not get into the league in the end. We could have had 32 members to start the season. Compared to the first two seasons, that is a very low number. The interest among the 30 members is strong tho. We are playing a 2 1/2 year old game essentially, so I expected interest to die down.
The European Region is almost ready to begin. We have 13 of the 15 spots locked in. We just need two more members to signup so we can start the season. With 15 members, the European Region will have only 1 Conference, but 2 divisions. Each main and secondary fighter will be split up evenly, and each fighter will still have 14 matches. The top 8 of each division would advance to Super Brawl III at the end of the season, just like the Americas Region.
I am very interested in any member's feedback regarding the site layout, and the new format for the league. I am still experimenting with the new Weebly Pro tools, but so far I am unimpressed. The video uploads are limited to 100 mbs. To compare, the 2:20 trailer I posted for Season 3 is 120 mbs. So, recording and uploading league matches is out of question. we will still have to use YouTube. So far, the best feature I am using is the embedded documents, which is how I am posting the standings and mini-white schedules. I thought it allowed viewers to print the document, which would be fun to have to look at on the go. However, that doesn't seem to be an option anymore. I am still tinkering with the layout of the site. I have begun to change the schedule layout as some were finding it hard to read which match was a "Win" or "Loss". I should be done with that in a couple of days so hopefully it is easier to read.
Good luck!
